About Us

Restoring Bungalows was created as a news and blog aggregator for lovers of Craftsman homes. Although our initial focus was on Bungalows, we include Mission, Prairie, Farm, Cottage and other Craftsman homes that have great bones, lots of stories to tell and centuries of love to give.

Our bloggers span the gamut from DIY renovation, construction techniques and restoration, to interior decorating, crafting and entertaining. If you live in one of these beautiful homes you know that it is more than a structure, it is a lifestyle, and Restoring Bungalows wants to share in all parts of that lifestyle with you.

There are many opportunities for engagement with other members or sponsors of our site. At each opportunity our members are given the opportunity to "opt-in" for further information from our sponsors.

Most of us work in the web industry, as either blog writers or programmers, so we used the medium we were most familiar with to create a welcoming online community of folks dedicated to Craftsman homes.  This is not a departure from "American society" nor is it "business-unfriendly."  We LOVE business, but we believe that we can offer support to businesses who reciprocate that love to humans and are devoted as much to the preservation of our planet (and as species) as they are the bottom line.

If you author a blog, WELCOME.  Here's how you get involved in promoting your content with us: 1) Join by Setting up an account with Restoring Bungalows.  2) Fill in your profile information, especially your BIO because that will appear on all of your posts, AND your avatar/pic 3) Click on Post Here and either create a post right here on the site, OR submit your feed from your blog.  That's it!  You're ready to be a syndicated author on Restoring Bungalows.  Congratulations!

What happens next?  Our editors will read all new posts as they come in and will publish content most relevant to the site.  But remember, Restoring Bungalows is a work in progress and as the industry and collective interest changes, so will we.  If we see a lot of posts about painting, for instance, our editors may decide that painting is a relevant  topic that people are interested in and make that more of a featured category.  Long story short, our site has the ability to grow and change with our own collective interests.

Contact us to get your story out there, where it can be heard by people who are interested in hearing about it.

Do you own a business that markets a product to people who enjoy craftsman homes, do you own a business that supports the renovation or redecorating industries?  Want to reach more people?  Contact us to learn more about how we can help you do just that.
